The board of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority has authorized its president, Wayne Hasenbalg, to give the green light to sign a deal which would see the state's thoroughbred horsemen's association take over operating control of Monmouth Park
, according to a report.
In an article in The Bergen Record, John Brennan has cited Hasenbalg as saying that he expects to sign the five-year lease this week. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and the New Jersey Racing Commission also have to sign off on the deal.
