It has been reported that the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association and the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority are expected to reach terms by the end of this week on a lease agreement for the Monmouth Park racetrack for thoroughbreds
.
An article by the Asbury Park Press has quoted NJTHA President John Forbes as saying that "significant progress" was made on Tuesday, February 21.
“Now we’re waiting for the draft contracts to be developed and exchanged,’’ Forbes was quoted as saying. “Hopefully we can get this done in a short while, by the end of the week I expect.’’
