The Track On 2 in Lacombe, Alberta is readying to kick off its 10-day meet on September 1, and Trot Insider has learned that some Standardbreds have already begun to prep over the one-mile racecourse.

“I really applaud what they’re doing. They’ve made a considerable investment even before they’re open for business, and it’s just nice to see the positive spin they’ve taken towards racing.”

“We’ve got lots of work to do this summer, but we’ll be ready by Labour Day. We’re working on a bunch of things that will allow us to be a year-round entertainment facility for central Alberta.”
