A pair of track records went down on the Sunday (Aug. 2) card at The Track on 2.
Watch Me Boogie ($3.90) first lowered a track standard with a win in the afternoon’s fifth race: a $4,000 conditioned pace. Trainer-driver Kelly Hoerdt steered the 4-5 favourite to a wire-to-wire victory from post 1 in 1:56—besting the record for three-year-old pacing fillies of 1:56.2 set by Evermor Legacy two weeks ago.
In the next race, Take On Da Boys ($3.40) launched from off the pace to beat the track record for aged pacing mares. Kicking from fifth to first, the Thomas Miller trainee hit the finish in 1:54.2 with David Kelly in the bike. The time bests the previous mark of 1:55 set by Cuttingtothechase in Sept. 2019.
