Harvest Series action for three-year-old trotting fillies got underway on Monday (Nov. 2) at Woodbine Mohawk Park, with Hey Genie and Lookstobemagic each delivering front-stepping scores in their respective splits.

Hey Genie was tabbed as the 1-9 favourite in the first of the $25,000 splits for Ontario Sired fillies who were non-winners of $60,000 lifetime or $30,000 in 2026 as of Sept. 30.

Louis-Phillipe Roy pointed the heavy favourite to the front from post two, quickly asserting herself on top of the field of six through an opening quarter of :28.4. Rating the pace up the backstretch, Hey Genie backed things down to the half in :58.2 before gaining 2-1/4 lengths of separation at three-quarters ahead of the pocket-sitting Press On Ballykeel (Tyler Borth).

Beginning to drift off the cones in the lane, Hey Genie still maintained a 3-1/2 length lead midway though the lane with Twittle Sticks (Anthony Haughan) beginning to rally from the backfield. Hey Genie would coast from there, winning by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:57.3 over Twittle Sticks, with SOS Unstoppable (Sylvain Grenier) rallying for the show spot.

Trained by Seamus Quill, it was the first victory in five tries this year for Hey Genie. Owned by W J Donavan of Delray Beach, FL, the Green Manalishi S-Nancy Allison filly has won two of 13 in her career, banking $34,263 following the career best effort.

Lookstobemagic teamed up with driver Tyler Borth to take the second split, utilizing a first-over charge en route to the score.

Away from post five, Lookstobemagic was away third while Intel Queen (Travis Henry) trotted around Miss Mass Appeal (Mark MacDonald) to trip the timer at the quarter in a hot :27. Lookstobemagic brushed from third on the backstretch, moving alongside the leader at the half in :56.2. Clearing to the lead moving into the final turn, Lookstobemagic led the charge to three-quarters in 1:25.4 with Silver Pride (Louis-Philippe Roy) driving first-over.

Lookstobemagic spun into the stretch, with Miss Mass Appeal shifting off the cones and moving three-deep with sights set on the leader. Speeding home in :28.3, Lookstobemagic held serve on the front to score over Miss Mass Appeal by 1-1/4 lengths in a career best 1:54.3 clocking. Silver Pride held for the third position.

Trained by Brent Belore, Lookstobemagic has won 11 of 21 during her sophomore campaign. The daughter of Lookslikeachpndale-Magical Wonder has earned $86,500 on the year for owners Karen and Daniel MacIntyre of London, Ont.
