Cal Expo has reported that longtime Standardbred owner Barbara Arnstine passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 in Sacramento, California at the age of 89 following a brief illness.

Longtime horseman Michael Scott Smith of Millbrook, Ont. passed away on April 18, 2024 at the age of 62.  

An owner of Standardbred racehorses, the bold and unapolegetic Italian fashion designer and entrepreneur Roberto Cavalli passed away at the age of 83, according to a statement from his company.

Longtime horseman Angus L. MacDonald, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Vernon, New York on April 16, 2024. 

Alvin Stein passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 in Ottawa, Ont., at the age of 83.

Ontario horseman Bruce Harold Roy Goit passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Toronto General Hospital in his 49th year.

Longtime horseman Calvin James "Bud" Isenor, 86, of Bible Hill, N.S., passed away on Thursday morning, March 28, 2024.

One of the founding members of Seelster Farms, Hubertina “Tina” Van Boxmeer of Ilderton, Ont. passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the age of 91.

Longtime harness racing industry participant Trevor Glen 'Trevor' Atkinson of Campbellford, Ont. passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024 at the age of 77.

Louis Rapone, 98, passed away on March 10, 2024. Mr. Rapone was one of the original members of harness racing’s 1,000 win driving club and was known as one of the premier “gatemen” in harness racing.

Lawrence "Soupy" MacDonell, 75, passed away on March 3, 2024 after a short illness at his home in Bowie, Maryland.

The United States Trotting Association (USTA) has reported that Larry Lederman, 67, known for his playfulness and wit during a decades-long career as a racetrack announcer, passed away on March 5, 202...
