
Longtime harness racing industry participant and former Standardbred Canada employee Judy LaRush of Wolfe Island, Ont. passed away peacefully, after a short battle with cancer, with her family by her side at Kingston General Hospital on July 9, 2025 just three weeks shy of her 81st birthday.
Judy is lovingly remembered by her son Pete (Julie) and her one and only special granddaughter Leah.
Judy was predeceased by her partner, Robin Murphy, beloved husband Guy LaRush, of 30 years, and her loving son Bobby.
She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends near and far.
She was heavily involved in the racing community for many years. She first started with her late husband Guy, running their own stable. She was also the Ontario Racing Commission licensing representative at Quinte Raceway and Kawartha Downs. She then moved on to work at the Standardbred Canada head office where she retired in 2012.

Cremation has taken place.
The family would like to celebrate Judy’s life from 1 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the Norwood Legion (Branch 300) 27 King St. Norwood, Ont.
