Thomas 'Tommy' Peacock Passes

In loving memory of Tommy Peacock

Thomas “Tommy” Earl Peacock of Fenwick, Ont. passed away on June 10, 2025 in his 75th year. 

Tommy was a blacksmith from the time he was 15 years old. He shod prestigious horses for trainers in the 1970s through the 1990s such as Conquered, Legal Notice, Little Black Book, Striking Force, Oil Strike, Proposal for Dr. John Hayes, Motor City Smitty, Queen Of Jewels, Sal Harbor for Carman Hie, Tito Hanover, Damon Seelster and many others for Ted Jacobs, Happy Lady for Jimmy Rankin and Twin B Playboy for Dennis Duke. He also shod Modern Legend his entire career for Dave Drew. Along with shoeing, he was also a hobby trainer for the majority of his life.

Survived by his siblings, Gary (Mary), Doug (Sharon) and Ken (Denise). He will be missed by nieces and nephews, Sally (Jason), Dougie (Crystal) and Paisley, Lorie (Alex), Kenny (Chelsea) and Brady, Tyler (Fiona) and Rob (Grace). Predeceased by his parents, Ken and Jessie, his brother, Lenny, and niece, Julie.

In keeping with Tommy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. All will be welcomed to visit Tommy’s family on June 16, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lampman Funeral Home, located at 724 Canboro Rd. in Fenwick, Ont. Memorial donations made to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

Yes, when I checked this site a few days ago there was nothing on it about Tommy's passing. I was very disappointed, because he touched so may people over the several years that he was a blacksmith. He was a wonderful man. Great blacksmith, Great sense of humour, and always had a smile on his face. He will be truly missed...
