The veteran pacer National Debt dashed to the lead early and kept control through the finish of the $10,000 Preferred Handicap at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday night (April 9).

Parked out first-over from the start of the race, National Debt seemingly toyed with the field in capturing the $7,000 Preferred 1 & 2 Handicap Pace at Hippodrome 3R on Sunday, July 10.

Once National Debt landed on the front, he let no others pass in progress to a 1:52 victory in the $10,500 Preferred Handicap Pace at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday night (June 26).

National Debt has banked $712,838 in his career, competing in both Canada and the United States with a lot of success. But one track in particular — Hippodrome 3R — seems to be his favourite.

The mare beat the boys in Sunday's $4,500 Preferred 3 Trot as 10-1 longshot X O X O benefited from a miscue by Hall Win to capture the co-feature at Hippodrome 3R.

Odds-on favourite Crossfit cleared to the front after the quarter and held firm to the finish to take the $10,500 Preferred Trot at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Sunday (Feb. 20).

Sent the 1-5 favourite, National Debt delivered a dominant victory in winning the $9,200 Preferred Pace on Sunday (Dec. 5) at Rideau Carleton Raceway.
