Sunday, Dec. 30 at Rideau Carleton Raceway marked the end of the 2018 season with racing going on a short hiatus into the new year.

On Tuesday, December 18, Standardbred Canada announced the finalists for the 2018 O’Brien Awards, which honour Canada’s best in harness racing over the past season.

Yves Tessier trainee Flying Isa N claimed his third-consecutive victory in the $8,100 Preferred Trot at Rideau Carleton Raceway with a neck victory in 1:57.3 on Sunday, Nov. 4.

The 2018 National Driving Championship is now in the books, and exclusive shots from the competition can be accessed online.

After finishing last in back-to-back races on Thursday evening at Rideau Carleton Raceway, driver Guy Gagnon managed to right the ship by pulling off five consecutive victories on the 10-race program.
