2014 B.C. Breeders Classic Fan Club Online Handicapping Contest | Terms and Conditions

1. The Standardbred Canada (SC) 2014 B.C. Breeders Classic Fan Club Online Handicapping Contest will be conducted from Sunday, November 9, 2014 to Tuesday, November 11, 2014, with entry open until 12:00 p.m (ET) on Tuesday, November 11. No purchase is necessary.

There is no cost to register. Contest is open to anyone who is 18 years of age or older as of the date of registration, is an I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club member and has Internet access at time of registration. The contest is void in whole where prohibited by law.

2. The winner of the contest will be the person who selects the most consecutive winners in the Breeders Classic Races, starting with the first race.

Contestants will also be asked to select the trainer and driver that will make the most purse money from all of the day’s races.

In the event of a tie after the BC races, the tie breaker will be the person who selected the leading money making trainer; if there’s still a tie, the person who selected the leading money making driver will be the winner. If it’s still a tie, a random draw will be used.

3. Winner will be contacted via e-mail at the e-mail address or phone number provided on the entry form.

4. Submissions with incomplete, bogus or invalid names and/or e-mail addresses will not be accepted.

5. Only one entry will be accepted per individual and e-mail address. Multiple entries will result in immediate disqualification. SC reserves the right to disqualify any contestant which SC believes has submitted more than one entry.

6. Employees, Directors and immediate family who reside at the same residence as Standardbred Canada, Fraser Downs or any provincial racing commission employees are not eligible for this contest.

7. No faxed, mailed, electronically mailed, or phoned-in entries are allowed.

8. SC assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, ineligible or mutilated entries. SC is not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable hardware or software or telephone transmission or technical failures, garbled or jumbled transmission or other errors of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electronic. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of SC and will not be returned.

9. SC reserves the sole right to interpret all questions and conditions in regard to this contest.

10. Anything not covered in these rules will be ruled on by the management of SC and their decision will be final and binding.

11. Contestants, by entering the contest, agree to be bound by the above rules and regulations.

PRIZE: A $50 Fan Club Prize package.

At age nine Foiled Again was poised to become the oldest horse to capture a Breeders Crown in its 30-year history.

The Open Pace closed the curtain on 2013's Breeders Crown night at Mohegan Sun Pocono, and the effort put forth could go down as one of the most gutsy performances of Foiled Again's storied career.

After winning the Maple Leaf Trot, Market Share was the beaten favourite in six of his next seven races.

After finishing second in the 2012 Breeders Crown, Mister Herbie had a bad case of seconditis going, finishing as the runner-up in half of his seasonal starts.

Those two trotters engaged in a thrilling stretch duel to the wire in the $600,000 Open Trot in 2013.
