Aaron Waxman Joins SC Board

Standardbred owner Aaron Waxman of Brantford, Ont. is the newest member of the Standardbred Canada Board of Directors

Waxman, 30, has been voted by the board to replace Ontario Active Director Byron Beeler, who resigned due to health reasons in December. The current directors put names forward for nomination, and a vote took place on January 13, 2010 with the majority of the Board voting for Waxman to be appointed to serve out the rest of Beeler's 2008 - 2010 term.

"It's a honour to join the board of Standardbred Canada," said Waxman, "and I look forward to helping steer standardbred racing in the right direction in the year to come."

First exposed to harness racing as a 10-year-old by his father Warren, Waxman owns such notable competitors as world record holder and millionaire Dali, Vertigo Hanover, River Shark and Dinner Guest.
