the appointment of mr trudel is great news for the" oh my god! horse racing industry in quebec. that being said, ever since the montreal casino opened its doors back in 1993 the already, horse racing industry in quebec was, slowly dying, and now, it is dead.

if the city of toronto ever decided to open up a casino,(table games) the horse racing industry in toronto would certainly be hurt. toronto is an excellent example of how to operate a casino(slots only) within a racetrack. here in montreal, people flocked over to the casino to try their luck playing certain casino table games. and that, was the
beginning of the end of the horse racing industry in quebec.

unbelievable, 16 racetracks in ontario doing fairly well, and here in "la belle province", they had a hard time
operating four racetracks. ontario has always been a leader in protecting certain industries, and the horse racing industry is certainly one of them. bravo! to the administrators of those racetracks in ontario.

as for mr. trudel, his first priority as general manager should be the re-opening, as soon as possible, of all the otb' parlors in quebec, so that the horse racing fans, who are so passionate about horse racing, can once again enjoy betting on his or her favorite racetrack.

quebec is the only place in north america where people cannot bet on horse racing....unbelievable! bonne chance! mr. trudel
