Peterborough resident John Bax will ship a trio of trotters the short distance to Kawartha Downs on Saturday evening to compete in the third Grassroots event on the sophomore trotting colt schedule.

Summer Indian swept to command around his filly stablemate early on and cruised to victory in the 11th edition of the $100,000 Dream Of Glory Trot, Hanover Raceway's marque event of the summer meet.

The eliminations for the 11th annual $100,000 Dream of Glory Trot were full of surprises on Saturday night at Hanover Raceway.

Kawartha Downs will be the site of the Gold Series season opener for the two-year-old trotting colts, playing host to three $40,000 eliminations on Thursday evening
