Canada’s 2013 Horse of the Year, Bee A Magician, has been entered to make her seasonal pari-mutuel debut.

The Meadowlands qualifiers on Saturday, May 10 got underway on a fast track at 60 degrees under skies clearing from an overnight fog with minimal wind.

Qualifiers were contested at the Meadowlands on Kentucky Derby Day under ideal conditions with sunny skies, warm temperatures and little wind.

"We saw Maven last year and she was competitive with the boys. I think she’ll be able to step up. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out."

Two trotting standouts are expected to head to qualifiers in the near future.
