The Woodbine Entertainment Group would like to remind horsepeople that the nominations for the Beat The Heat Pacing Series are due this Friday (June 1)
.
The series, which was introduced into Mohawk Racetrack’s stakes schedule last year, will consist of two preliminary legs. The $20,000 first leg will be contested on Saturday, June 23 and the $30,000 second leg will take place one week later on June 30.
Twelve horses with the highest point earnings in the series will advance to the $50,000 final, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 5.
The series is for aged pacers, who are non-winners of $25,000 in 2012 as of midnight May 31, with a minimum of five starts this year. Winners of over $100,000 in 2011 are ineligible.
The nomination fee is $100.
