The Beat The Heat Pacing Series is back, and the Woodbine Entertainment Group would like to inform horsepeople that the nominations for the series are due Friday, June 1
.
The Beat The Heat Series, which was introduced into Mohawk’s stakes schedule last year, will consist of two preliminary legs. The $20,000 first leg will be contested on Saturday, June 23, with the $30,000 second leg taking place one week later on June 30.
Twelve horses with the highest point earnings in the series will advance to the $50,000 final, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 7.
The series is for aged pacers, who are non-winners of $25,000 in 2012 as of midnight May 31, with a minimum of five starts this year. Winners of over $100,000 in 2011 are ineligible.

If sending nominations by mail, envelopes must be clearly post-marked no later than the said due date or payment will not be accepted. Registered mail is recommended.
