With at least one of his own pupils in each of the six Adios Pick and Wild Rose stakes divisions this Saturday at Grande Prairie, soon-to-be Hall of Famer Keith Clark has shared his thoughts on his prospects with track announcer Sugar Doyle
.
Starting from Post 2 in the fourth race, the second of three $16,666 Adios Pick divisions for sophomore colts, Wrangler Hitech is listed as the 2-1 morning line favourite. Clark shares ownership of As Promised-Raines Lucey colt with Robert Jones and Peter Giannakopolous.
“I’m glad we drew away from Ron Graham’s horse (Sixdaysontheroad),” Clark said in Doyle’s Daily Herald-Tribune column. “We’ve got a good inside post and he’s coming into it okay.”
On the filly side, Clark likes his chances with Lady And Thetrench, the 5-2 second choice behind Lynettes Legacy in the second race, the second of three Wild Rose divisions. Clark owns the daughter of Armbro Trench-Cambests Lady with Pat Elynuik and John Hind.
“She’s drawn okay [Post 3] as well and she looks to have a pretty good shot at the win.”
A live telecast of the final Adios Pick and Wild Rose divisions (Races 8 and 9) will air Saturday on CTV from 3-4 p.m.
