Big Bad John, the Delaware hometown favourite for the 66th Little Brown Jug, has returned to work following 10 days of relaxation at the Kesmarc Equine Clinic
in Lexington, Kentucky.
“He was sick, tired and exhausted following the Hoosier Cup. That was just a brutal race,” said trainer Ron Potter. “He had raced five times in 32 days. So we took him to the Kesmarc Clinic where he got to swim, work-out and relax for 10 days.”
Potter said that Big Bad John has really freshened up.
"He feels great and returned to the Delaware Fairgrounds this week. He really liked that spa.”
Big Bad John will return to action on July 15 in a $200,000 Pennsylvania Sires Stakes event at the Meadows.

It was actually 34 days but 5 races at that level is very strenuous and stressful. Glad to hear that he finally got a rest. Hopefully, he will come back to his old form.
