The fourth annual Kin Pace goes postward this Sunday at Clinton Raceway, and at a purse of $70,000 it marks the richest race in Clinton’s 40-plus year history.

This year, vying for the winner's share of $70,000 purse will be morning line favourite Wiskywisky Nancy O. The three-year-old filly is owned by Jean and Jim Caddey, and grandchildren, 12-year old Alana and 10-year old Dylan Belore of Embro, Ont. and trained by Brent Belore.

Wiskywisky Nancy O finished first in her elimination last Sunday at Clinton Raceway and will be driven by Woodbine regular Mike Saftic, in hopes of another first place finish to add to her four wins and lifetime bankroll of almost $70,000.

Other contenders in this year’s final include (in order of post position) The Big Macher, Chappies Girl, Three Charms, Milliondollarfeelin, Mach Lady, Angel On The Wing, Just Artful and also eligible, Umygeorgia Hanover.

Off-track action will have all the fans trying to win a share of $1,000. Ballots will be located in the on-track program, and eight lucky winners will be matched up with a horse in the $70,000 final.

The Kin Pace is held in conjunction each year with the weekend long festivities of the 16th annual Pluckin Fest, put on by the Clinton Kinsmen and Kinettes Club.
Post time for the festivities is 1:30pm

It's too bad that nobody can see the races at Clinton without driving all the way out there to watch. The name of the race says it all "KIN PACE" because it will only be kin that will be there to watch. Last Sunday the betting handle was $18,091.

They are not alone and this is something I have already commented on directly to their marketing people. I truly believe, not a dime should be given to tracks that can't show you their races. Last night the OSS races were held at HIAWATHA and the same thing, you can't watch them on TV or on-line. There are others in that 519 area code that seem to be in a black hole.

This is not expensive technology. The problem is one I have touched on in other posts. This industry shoots itself in the foot because of the fear of the computers.

Really, join us in the real world and show off your track. Who knows maybe some people will actually drive there one day if they see it on-line.
