Great Photo Needs A Caption

When animals get on the track during the course of a horse race the potential for danger is always there. In the case of a subbing Monticello track photographer last week, the situation translated into a great shot

for the portfolio.

Liz Stubits, subbing for Monticello's regular photographer, Geri Schwarz, captured a shot of a groundhog making his way onto the track one rainy afternoon during the home stretch of a trotting event.

Do you have a clever caption for the photo? If so, send us your caption in the comments box below.

If I had one wish.I wish I could be as big and beautiful as he is!And just as fast...

Don't use the passing lane!!..... It's deep!!!!

Just thought I would check out this track. I would say "It's still pretty sloppy" my belly is getting wet.

Odds Are: You hit me "I'm Dead"," You're out of the race" and the Longshot wins. Nice Payoff for Someone!!!!!

Told them we need a stoplight at this intersection

Hey guys!!! You better slow down cause I was here first and I'm not movin.

"Someone announced there was one heck of a hole opening up, but where is the darn thing?"

And here come Punxsutawney Phil driving from the open stretch to get up.....Zoom !!

Groundhog: "MOVE IT, MOVE IT GUYS....Pick up the PACE!!"
Hey, NASCAR isn't the only racing sport with a cute little groundhog named Digger on TV, and this one's NOT animated...

In the same vein as Carmen Auciello's caption below --- which cites a Bill Murray line from the film 'Groundhog Day' --- "Don't drive angry!"

Guess those aluminum shoes helped with the crossfiring. Not interfering now.

Hey you drivers, don't you know pedestrians have the right away?

"Hey, can any of you guys tell me how to get to the slots?"

"This is one time where television really fails to capture the true excitement of a large squirrel predicting the weather." (A line from Groundhog Day, the movie)

"Some guy in a bright red suit said there was one hell of a good hole here, but where is it?"

Um has anyone seen my "shadow..... roll"?

Phew....that was close,I remember the story about the raccoon at Woodbine!!!!
Gorden McKnight

Stumbling in the stretch the "3" horse wished he would have been fitted with the classic "Groundhog Roll"

How many horses could a wood chuck dodge,if a wood chuck could dodge horses...

So this is what all the racket is about, I thought my home was caving in!

Bill Murray's casting call(Groundhog II) I'm just following the directions post by WEG..

The ORC went to unusual lengths to ensure they're new stringent whipping laws were obeyed. At one point, even deploying an "undercover agent" to keep an eye on slap-happy drivers...

GROUNDHOG: "The 3-Horse??? DAMN! Knew I should have boxed the Exactor.."
