Thank you to those that made this happen, Doug McCallum and special mention to Sandra Roberts and Brent Hill who did a lot of grassroots legwork in keeping the issue in the media. Now lets get a longterm deal signed for the next 9 years so that the industry can build on a strong and certain foundation.

Congratulations to the CEO Doug McCallum and the Board of Directors at Harness BC. Well done to Doug and all of the backstretch supporters at Fraser Downs, I am personally very pleased to see the return of the 10 month racing season, which is vital to the health of standardbred racing in British Columbia - This is a well deserved victory for everyone. Have a great Summer everyone and return fresh for racing! - David Aldred

Right on B.C. members Maybe other harness racing associations across Canada can get inspired by your BC group. Let us know more of what you did out there to get this positive result.

All the horsepeople in B.C, are deeply indebted to Doug Macallum, who has stick handled this issue with real finesse, and also to Paul Gilley a Harness B.C. director who secured the services of Doug for Harness B.C. This is a great victory and the support of all the backstretch, was vital. Sandra Roberts deserves special mention for supplying the harnessed horses for the protests outside the Track. With summer racing the only way is up. My forecast is that we will bet more than 250,000.one day next summer. Hopefull some horsemen who went East will come home

Congratulations to the BC horsemen. They now have a full-time job again.
