CTV Atlantic recently featured a five-part series on the story of Samspace, a racehorse born and raised in Nova Scotia but feared deceased by his former connections.

As told by CTV's Jayson Baxter, one phone call in December 2019 changed the life of Samspace and his former owner – Baxter's father, Denny.

Here are the five parts as featured and produced by CTV.

Saving Sammy: Part One

Years after selling his beloved horse, Denny Baxter received a call that launched an epic effort to save the horse from an American kill pen.

Saving Sammy: Part Two

Denny Baxter loved his horse, but his success led to an offer he couldn’t refuse, and the eventual disappearance of the prized Standardbred.

Saving Sammy: Part Three

Denny Baxter and his family launch an urgent rescue effort to save Sammy – the prized Standardbred he thought had died years earlier.

Saving Sammy: Part Four

Denny Baxter could hardly contain his excitement as he headed for a reunion with Sammy – the horse he thought had died years earlier.

Saving Sammy: Part Five

Samspace the old racehorse now helps people cope with conditions and emotions like PTSD, grief, and anger.
