On Thursday afternoon, prospective Meadowlands Racetrack operator Jeff Gural issued a very concise press release informing the harness racing industry that he will be meeting with New Jersey officials on Friday, April 29.

Gural stated that the meeting is to take place at 9:00 a.m. and that it is to "hopefully resolve the issue with the thoroughbred horsemen, as well as two or three other issues."

Gural went on to state that as soon as the meeting ends, he will notify the United States Trotting Association to let everyone know "if the saga is finally over so that racing can resume as scheduled (at the Meadowlands) on May 7."
