Nova Scotia Agriculture Minister Keith Colwell is not setting the bar low for the future of Truro Raceway, according to comments he made this past Saturday.
A report by the Truro Daily News has quoted Colwell as saying that he would like to see the Bible Hill harness track be referred to as the best in the country in the coming years.
“I would like to see the track here, in five or six years, be considered the best in the country,” said Colwell, who admitted that he does not know much about harness racing, but plans to learn.
The report has cited Colwell as saying that the five members that will be appointed to a new five-person board overseeing Truro Raceway will be from the business realm and will run the facility like a business.
