This week's Rewind is the monthly edition of "Picture Parade," a regular feature. Robert Smith has assembled a group of pictures for your viewing pleasure and, for those who enjoy putting on their "guessing cap," a chance to send along your best answers as to the identity of each old photograph.
There is no central theme in today's grouping, just a wide range of subjects. Have fun!

1 - Can you name this outstanding colt performer named after a Maritime town? Also, can you name the driver who was not a Maritimer?

2 - Who is this young lad showing off a stable member?

3 - You may have to be from a certain area to get this one. Can you name this gentleman who practised his many talents in harness racing until he was almost 80?

4 - Can you name this Canadian-based horse (10) and driver? When the above photo was taken, they were in the process of setting a track record at Yonkers Raceway in 1979.

5 - This photo goes back quite a way and was taken following a major annual race that still exists to this day. Can you name the winning driver, the presenter, and perhaps the horse? They were all pretty well known for many years.

6 - This very fine Canadian-born horseman is no longer with us, but at one time he was considered among the elite in the sport in both Canada and the U.S. Who is this fellow?

7 - Can you identify this Canadian "boy" who is shown winning a trotting race at The Meadowlands? This picture is from over 45 years ago. By now, he's probably old enough to have a next-generation family member on the scene.

8 - This photo was taken about 10 years ago during Old Home Week in Charlottetown, as they reminisced about the "old days." Can you put a name to both of them?

9 - It's a muddy job, but somebody's gotta do it! This young fellow was in his first full year of driving when this photo was taken in 1960 at Old Woodbine. Who is he?

10 - Can you identify this gentleman who was involved in the sport for many years? He passed away quite some time ago, but I am sure he will be recognized by many in the reading audience. I believe he still has family members around, although not active in the sport. I knew this colourful fellow and did a story on him long before we knew what the internet was.
(The correct answers will be posted here by Robert as a comment in a few days.)
Quote For The Week: Advice to a rookie electrician: "Stay grounded."
Blast From The Past

In the old days of harness racing, if you wanted a seat in the grandstand, it was best to arrive early. The above photo was taken at Aylmer, Ont., a small town southeast of London. The full grandstand shown above was a common sight back in the day.
This week's picture answers
Our experts were again correct on all 10 of the "Picture Parade " photos . Correct answers are shown below:
#1 - The winning horse was Alberton (birthplace of Joe O'Brien) and driver Jack Kopas
#2 - That's Douglas John McIntosh at Leamington Raceway barn area
#3 - Frank Niebergall, veteran Western Canada horseman
#4 - Jim Miller driving Tijuana Taxi to a win
#5 - Ronnie Feagan, driver and part owner of H A Meadowland, receives a trophy from John Mooney OJC Head. They won the Can. Pacing Derby in 1967
#6 - Marcel Dostie
#7 - Barry Drury winning with Super Spur at the Meadowlands
#8 - Two veteran Maritimers, Gussie Ratchford and Clarkie Smith on the right
#9 - A very young 20 year old Wm. Wellwood at Old Woodbine with Jimmy Patch C.
#10 - That was Bert Madill, the pride and joy of Camilla, Ontario at Dresden with his three-year-old performer Scott's Topic and I believe his grandson holding. FYI - Bert's son Ronny C. Madill recently passed away at age 92, just before last Christmas. Ron also dabbled in racing and drove in a few races many years ago.
Thanks again to everyone that joins in and makes this feature more meaningful .You keep me busy! So happy that our experts are concerned about getting sufficient rest so that they can stay sharp.
