Aaron Merriman remains under the care of doctors following the five-horse crash that occurred at Northfield Park this past Saturday night (Feb. 15).

Merriman says he is sore, and doctors have advised him to take a few days off.

“I have an appointment with the doctor Thursday morning and hope to be back in the bike this weekend,” said Merriman, who suffered a concussion in the crash.

Merriman and Hunter Myers were injured in the fifth race at Northfield. Both were treated at the hospital and were released Saturday night.

Merriman would like to thank his fans for their concern and looks forward to seeing them back at the track shortly.

Please join Standardbred Canada in wishing Aaron Merriman a swift and complete recovery from his injuries.
