It has been reported that the Prince George’s County Council in Maryland has stated that it is opposed to the current slots bill which would see expanded gaming come to either Rosecroft Raceway or the National Harbor
.
An article by The Washington Post has quoted Council Chairman Andrea Harrison as saying that “There has not been anyone on the council that supports the bill” after having informally polled her eight colleagues.
“I cannot support the bill the way it is now,” said Council member Obie Patterson, whose district includes both the raceway and the habour.
