The Maryland Racing Commission has announced that Penn National Gaming has brought in a total of close to $1 million in revenue from Rosecroft Raceway's first 88 days of operation, but that the track is still operating at a loss due to not having the support of expanded gaming at the facility

.

The news comes via an article by the Washington Examiner, which states that the track has handled almost $5 million in wagers since it re-opened for business.

"We've obviously committed to racing in 2011 and 2012," spokeswoman Karen Bailey was quoted as saying. "We look to slots as something that's going to be critical to our future success."
