.
An article by thesuburbannews.ca states that the provincial government has put the land up for sale at a price of $100 million.
“The process has begun and we’ll have to see what happens over the next few months,” Société Nationale du Cheval de Course (SONACC) director-general Jean Bourdeau was quoted as saying in thesuburbannews.ca report. “We’re not looking to rent it either.”
The report states that SONACC did not officially inform the city of the sale as of late last week.
“It’s news to me,” Marvin Rotrand, the city councillor for Snowdon, was quoted as saying in the article. “No one at the city seems to know this.”

Again, Quebec found a way to
Again, Quebec found a way to destroy one of their historical site and sport. Why not restore something destroyed by someone who didn't know anything about the horse racing business? I agree that its popularity has been bad these past years but I think everyone who was involved in it either customer or employee would agree that things went to the wrong path, done in the wrong ways and lead by the wrong person.
We can save a sport and a part of our history but as always money talks louder than good intentions.
Now, I just hope our horsemen and women are doing well. I still hope some investigation would start on Attractions Hippiques' activities. We are talking about thousands of jobs that have been destroyed.
