Woodbine Mohawk Park's winter series action continued on Friday, Dec. 19 with Valedictory starter Get Wings and Niagara participant Kiki Dee Hanover scoring repeat wins with Jody Jamieson picking up the live catch-drives for the second leg successes.

The three-year-old pacing events are for non-winners of $60,000 lifetime as of Oct. 31, 2025, with colts competing in the Valedictory and fillies featured in the Niagara. Each event included two $17,000 divisions for the second leg on Friday night.

Get Wings led at every call for a 1:55.4 Valedictory victory by 2-1/2 lengths, with Trinidad (J.R. Plante) overtaking Devils Wish (Travis Henry) for the runner-up honours after 3-5 favourite Magical Bet (James MacDonald) broke stride when offering up a final turn challenge. He paid $5 to win as the 3-2 second choice while recording his seventh victory of the season in 15 starts following a winless eight-race rookie campaign. Paul MacKenzie trains the Bettors Wish-The Captains Angel colt for Prince Edward Island connections, Stratford's Gary Ford and Wheatley River's Janet Kinney.

Kiki Dee Hanover also won her Niagara division in front-end fashion, scoring in 1:57 by 1-1/4 lengths while Highland Delight (Travis Henry) took second over the other opening leg winner, Who Are You (Mike Whelan). The 1-9 favourite paid $2.20 to win. Trained by J.F. Maguire and owned by Jeremy Marcotte of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix, Que., the filly by Bettors Delight out of Key West made just three starts at two and has now hit the board in 19 of her 23 sophomore outings, with Friday's effort marking her third win.

Rbstenacious T was an impressive 1:53.4 winner in the Valedictory for the Cullen family -- driver/co-owner Travis, trainer Jodie and co-owner Ron -- besting the favoured opening leg winner in a five-length romp after moving to the lead in the first turn. The 3-5 bettors' choice, Blazing Cruiser (James MacDonald), recovered from a break at the start and closed from the back of the six-pack to edge out Hasselhoff (J.R. Plante) and Parlay King (Trevor Henry) in a tight race for place. Rbstenacious T, the 5-2 second choice who returned $7.10 to his backers, is now five-for-19 in his first year of racing. The Freaky Feet Pete-Aunt Marlene colt is also owned in part by Deborah Jyl McLeod, Edmonton, Alta.

The other Niagara division was won by the Herb Holland-trained Betterdoubledown ($3.10), who prevailed in 1:54 flat off a pocket trip engineered by driver Doug McNair. The heavy 1-2 favourite, who was second to Kiki Dee Hanover in the opening leg of the series, shot through at the pylons in the stretch and held 1-1/4 lengths clear as Woodmere Betcha (James MacDonald) closed from behind her while the drifting pacesetter, Sunnys Girl (Daryl Thiessen), had to settle for third. The Bettors Delight-Ready Set Roll filly now has four wins in 22 starts during her debut racing season for Ontario owners McKinlay & Fielding of Gravenhurst and Milena Kwiecien of Burlington.
