In Kentucky, Franklin Circuit Judge Thomas D. Wingate has said that he will announce his decision on the legality of 'instant racing' gaming machines in the state before
the end of December.
A report by the Lexington Herald-Leader states that interests both for and against the implementation of the video gaming units have stated that they will likely appeal a decision if it goes against their stance.
Instant racing machines would allow players to wager on previously-run, or 'historical,' races.
