On Tuesday, December 13, the First District Court of Appeal ruled against the Florida Quarter Horse Racing Association's attempts to have pari-mutuel barrel racing at the Gretna facility cease
.
The court ruled that the association 'failed to carry their burden of showing sufficient grounds for granting a stay pending the disposition of the appeal on the merits.'
Lawsuits against the pari-mutuel barrel racing in Gretna are currently going through the Florida system.
