I've tried once again to
I've tried once again to watch that show but after 2 races I gave up.
What a shame to have changed from the Race night format, where as a viewer you could get some relevant information on horses through short but meaningful interviews with trainers and drivers. I've always enjoyed the segments on horses that were having an impact on the Canadian racing scene.
Nothing like that is left now on this pale shadow of what used to be the #1 racing show in Canada. Now it's all about bets and most of it is from people who would not know the difference between a bridle and a gating strap.
If WEG thinks that this is good for attracting new cutomners they are DEAD wrong. This was tried in Montreal by the infamous Attraction hipiques where they tried to market racing by using some marginaly know person to conduct interviews with driver/trainers whereby the questions would be about their birthday or the color of their cat. It killed racing in Québec.
Be careful WEG. By puting this inept horse racing show on TV you are discouraging viewers like myself who love the game for what it is. A quest by professionals to get their horses in the best class possible so that they in turn can perform to the best of their abilities. I could not find any topics that related to this in any way shape or form on Bet nite. From now on for me it will be Good nite.
