In this week's 'Rewind' Robert Smith has once again assembled a collage of old photographs of various themes and time periods for another edition of Picture Parade. The aim is partly to test the skills of the reading audience in identifying the people or other information relating to each photo, and also to display these great old photos that might otherwise go unnoticed. The "rules" remain the same, just state the picture number and your answer on as many as you wish.
1 - How many people can you identify in this picture from quite a few years ago? (Abahazy Photo collection)
2 - Can you name the trophy holder in the middle; he's still very much around? If you can, might as well do the other two as well.
3 - It would be pretty hard to pack much more talent, history and horsemanship into one picture. Can you put a tag on each one?
4 - It was 50 years ago when this was taken and this fellow was then around Jack Benny's age. The question is, can you put a correct name on him?
5 - Back in 1961 these five rather young lads were stabled at Richelieu Park when the photographer called them together. Can you name them all?
6 - As this picture shows not all harness drivers are the same size, in fact they sometimes come in all shapes and sizes. Can you identify these two gents?
7 - Who might this young fellow be? If you you think you know then it's time to "throw your hat in the ring." (Harness Horse photo)
8 - Can you identify the location of this once very popular U.S. track?
9 - In this one the handsome gentleman pictured was just doing his job, conducting an interview. Can you name him and might as well take a "stab" at the horse's name too? No points taken off for missing the horse's name but it would be timely to get both. (Hoof Beats)
10 - Let's end up with an easy one. Any guesses as to who these three fellows might be? And while you're at it might as well name the horse. One last question.. ..who was listed on the photo as the horse's trainer at the time this picture was taken ?
Good Luck or Bonne Chance and be sure to stay tuned for a list of the correct answers upcoming in a few days
Bonus photo - Can anyone identify anyone in this great old picture or even the location where it was taken? The only information I have is that it was taken somewhere in Nova Scotia. Looks kind of picturesque!

REMEMBRANCE DAY - November 11
A TIME TO REMEMBER - On Monday November 11th we pause not to celebrate as we do on other holidays, but to remember in a special way the many brave men and women who have served our Country in the military. Many people we now know or have known in the past served to preserve our freedom and protect our lands. Let us NOT forget them though many have passed.
