Fresh off his hometown win in the $201,900 Matron Stake for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings, Wiggle It Jiggleit returned to Dover Downs and easily disposed of the foes he faced in the $35,000 Hap Hansen Progress Pace elimination.
Wiggle It Jiggleit marched to the lead from Post 5 and sliced out splits of :26, :54.4 and 1:22.1 for driver Montrell Teague before using a :26.4 closing panel to win by 3-1/2 lengths over Remember Me VK in 1:49. Dealt A Winner took home third prize in the nine-horse affair. The only elimination starter failing to advance to next week’s $300,000 final was ninth-place finisher, Arque Hanover.
Sent off as the 1-9 favourite, the son of Mr Wiggles-Mozzi Hanover improved his 2015 record to 21-3-0 from 25 starts for trainer Clyde Francis. The 22-time winner, who races for George Teague Jr Inc of Harrington, DE, lifted his lifetime earnings to $2,085,995 with the win.
Monday’s card also featured the $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund final for two-year-old trotting fillies, and Triple Bottom Line beefed up her bank account thanks to her upset score in 2:00.4.
Triple Bottom Line and trainer/driver Jeff Fout rushed to the lead and supplied the field with an opening quarter in :28.3 before taking a backseat to Cicadas Song. That foe led at the mid-way point in :59 before being prompted by race favourite Epic Smash to the three-quarter pole in 1:29. Triple Bottom Line cashed in her perfect, pocket trip by using a :31.3 closing quarter to sweep to the front and win by two lengths over Cicadas Song. Epic Smash took home the show dough.
Bred and owned by Winbak Farm of Chesapeake City, MD, Triple Bottom Line now boasts a 2-3-1 record in her first eight assignments. The $50,000 payday lifted her earnings to $75,800.

Definitely a top 10 horse of all time. Witnessed the jug and don't know of any other horse that could have done what he did on this day. Congratulations to the connections.
