UPDATED: Horseman That Died On NJ Turnpike Identified

The man that was ejected from a moving horse trailer and died on the New Jersey Turnpike just before noon on Monday, November 23 has been identified

Nj.com has reported the man that lost his life is 22-year-old Jorge Lopez of Long Branch, New Jersey.

The article also cites a state police detective as saying there were eight horses and several other people riding in the trailer with Lopez at the time.

The Associated Press has reported that foul play is not suspected.

A report on cbs3.com on Monday cited state police as saying that the driver pulling the trailer continued to the Meadowlands Racetrack, apparently unaware that the man had fallen out.

An article on mycentraljersey.com on Monday had stated that the individual, whose name had yet to be released, was pronounced dead at the scene early Monday afternoon.

A report on nj.com Monday afternoon cited Turnpike Authority spokesman Joseph Orlando as saying the a man had lost his life. The report also indicated that ambulances were not called because it was clear the man was dead.

God Bless him he was riding with his horse in his care. Don't know the particulars but I have rode with a nervous horse a time or two. My condolences to his family.
