MacLean Leads The Way At Sudbury

Sudbury Downs' leading trainer France MacLean led the way to the winner's circle as four of her pupil turned in top performances during the 12-race program Saturday night program at the Chelmsford, Ont. oval while horseman Gerry Belanger was not far behind

France MacLean teamed up with driver Paul MacLean to win with Here To Fraternity ($4.40), Wawa ($13.50), Deuces And Jacks ($6.80) and Sprinter ($39.20).

France MacLean holds a 22-win lead in the trainers standings over Mario Rivest, who scored a double on the program. She is four victories away from reaching career win No. 400.

Belanger guided his own pupils Daddy Warbucks ($5.80), Aforgottendynasty ($22.00) and Armbro Dalliance ($8.80) for a training triple and scored with the Charlotte Hohner-trained Mancasso ($3.70) for a driving grand slam. He has 426 training wins on his lifetime record.
