Driver Luc Ouellette was unseated during the fourth race on Monday at Woodbine Racetrack
.
The Campbellville resident was positioned fourth along the rail heading towards the half when he knew something was wrong with his horse As Duharas.
As Duharas was angled towards the safety lane when Ouellette decided to bail out of the racebike.
“I knew something was wrong with my horse,” Ouellette said, while walking back to the paddock under his own power. “I think he broke a line or the bit in his mouth. I had no control of him so I had to bail.”
Ouellette did suffer a bruised finger, but would continue his driving assignments for the remainder of the evening. As Duharas was apprehended after running loose and was uninjured.
