The 2011 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale continued on Thursday afternoon in Kentucky, and veteran horseman Per Henriksen signed the slips on the two highest priced yearlings of the day
.
Henriksen’s bid of $85,000 earned him the right to sign the sales slip on Hip 579, Frisky Magic. The Kadabra-Frisky Fergi filly is a half sister to a former Henriksen trainee, Friskem (1:55.2 - $154,660). She was consigned by Northwood Bloodstock Agency.
Hip 466, Porsche Magic, was purchased earlier in the auction by Henriksen for $65,000. The Kadabra colt, who was consigned by Preferred Equine Inc., is just the second foal out of the OSS star, Porsche Hall (1:56 - $642,396).
A total of 172 yearlings sold during the fourth session for $3,088,000, with an average price of $17,953.
The final session of sale takes place on Friday, October at 11:30 a.m.
