It has been reported that a pair of officials from American Harness Tracks, the group which recently won the auction for the State of Pennsylvania's final harness racing license, met with members of the state's harness racing comm
ission yesterday.
According to a report by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the pair that were representing American Harness Tracks were attorney Charles A. Knoll, Jr. of Pittsburgh, the son of the late Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll, and Anton Leppler, the former executive secretary of the harness commission.
The article explains that Knoll said during the meeting that he will provide more information regarding the other investors behind American Harness Tracks after U.S. Bankruptcy Court approves the group's bid to take over the proposed $425 million Valley View Downs project, which includes a harness track and casino.
