Favourites Just Fiction and Gramrun Jake dominated a pair of $25,000 BC Sales Stakes for three-year-old pacers while trainer Rick White celebrated a special milestone during an action-packed nine-race card at Fraser Downs on Saturday afternoon

Just Fiction delivered on her pari-mutuel promise in the $25,000 BC Sales Stake for three-year-old pacing fillies. Jim Marino directed the elimination runner-up past panels of :28.2, :58.2 and 1:27.1 and the filly held off Red Star Hannah (Tim Brown) for the half-length victory in 1:57 over the 'good' track rated one second slow. Pureform Venus (Mike Short) finished third.
Just Fiction paid $5.60 to win. Trainer Alan Anderson shares ownership of the Kents On Nuke-Battalia Hanover miss with the J J J Stables of Aldergrove, B.C. She has won five of her seven races this year, including the BC Stallion Stakes Final this past spring. Her 2011 earnings climbed to $77,565.
Elimination winner Gramrun Jake, driven by Tim Brown, pleased his backers with a 10 and three-quarter length romp in the matching $25,000 final for three-year-old pacing colts. After carving out fractions of :28, :58 and 1:26.3, the Camcracker-Roxette Hanover colt sprinted away from the field to secure the victory in a career-best 1:54.3 (final quarter in :28-seconds). The other elimination winner, Cantbeatacheetah (Dave Hudon), and Stepuptotheplate (Richard Lancaster) finished second and third.
Gramrun Jake paid $2.50 to win. Langley's Dan Ingram owns and trains the winner of four races in 14 starts this year. His earnings now stand at $28,278 for 2011.
Surrey horseman Rick White earned his 1,000th training victory in the third race when his two-year-old Kents On Nuke gelding Gotta Have Nukes romped to a four and three-quarter length maiden-breaking score in 2:00.1.
