SC Rewind: Picture Parade

SC Rewind: Picture Parade
Published: January 26, 2025 09:30 am EST

This week's Rewind is the monthly feature called Picture Parade.  Traditionally in harness racing circles award nights have usually been held early in the year, perhaps a throwback to the days when nearly all racing took a winter hiatus.  Today's pictures were all taken at past award nights and all predate the current O'Brien Awards which started in 1990.

All of today's old photos were taken at Canadian based award night's gatherings. They include a variety of presenters as many organizations have presented awards down through the years. This could include the Ontario Jockey Club, Canadian Trotting Association, Canadian Standardbred Society, individual racetracks and a variety of other groups such as O.H.H.A.
