Strike Upcoming At Windsor?

According to a report by windsorstar.com, security guards and janitors at Windsor Raceway are threatening strike action

The article states that the contract for five janitors expired November 15, 2008, while the contract for 19 security guards expired September 30, 2008.

“It’s a terrible situation we've got here,” Ron Duby, plant chairman for Service Employees Union International Local 2, was quoted as saying.

Duby also said that maintenance workers and pari-mutuel clerks had previously accepted contracts with pay cuts, but now layoffs are being threatened for some of them.

Let them go. When the raceway closes I'm sure they will be able to get a job in the auto industry.

Let them go, in these tough economic times they should be glad to be working especially in Windsor.
