The connections of Pepsi North America Cup winner Wakizashi Hanover have announced the rest of the gelding’s 2015 schedule, and co-owner Bruce Kennedy has gone on the record as saying “if he stays healthy and sound, we’ll race them all.”
The fleet-footed son of Dragon Again has drawn Post 7 for the $500,000 final of the Max C. Hempt Memorial, which will be contested Saturday, July 4 at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono. A story by Ben Cousins for The Chronicle Herald explains that ‘Wakizashi’ could potentially race another 13 times this year after the Hempt final is in the books.
Kennedy explained to Cousins that the gelding could race another 12 times this year. The story contains a list of Wakizashi’s 2015 schedule, which contains 13 race dates.
Wakizashi has a full dance card for the rest of the season, which could be a challenge, but Kennedy stated that the NA Cup winner is “a happy, healthy horse, which helps.”

Jug is a historic race, but
Jug is a historic race, but it all comes down to PP draw far to often. Coupled with 2-3 heats it is an easy pass. By the same token, I can see why many won't take a pass, so the debate goes on.
Personally, it's up to the individual connections if they want to go or not go...their horse and their investment. Not mine and not yours. You get the horse, you get to make the call.
If I owned a top 3 year old
If I owned a top 3 year old pacing colt i to would skip the little brown jug as there is many other big races for 3 yr old colt pacers. I would not want to have to race him 2 to 3 times on the same day if it could be avoided. So the jug would not be part of my schedule.
How come they're skipping the
How come they're skipping the only one that really counts - The Jug

Couldn't agree more Philip. The Jug is the one you need on your resume.
