John Bach has been involved in harness racing for as long as he can remember. It’s a pretty good length of time considering the lifelong Goshen, NY, resident will turn 89 in July.

Like many of us this winter, Shaws Creek Buff is just looking to shake off some lingering sickness so he can put forth a top effort at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

"It’s a rags-to-riches story. Let’s just say I paid more than $1,000 for him, but not that much more."
