How Canada's 2006 Horse of the Year Transformed New Zealand Trotting

Majestic Son

Majestic Son is as Canadian as a horse could be: Canadian-bred, owned, trained and driven.

He won the Canadian Trotting Classic and was named Canada’s Horse of the Year. As a sire he stood at one of Canada’s top farms - Tara Hills Stud. And although his production numbers were good, he never seemed to attract the large number of mares he’d get Down Under. So approximately six years ago his owners decided to leave him in New Zealand full time, and now his exploits as a leading sire are leaving an undeniable mark on the trotting breed in the Southern Hemisphere.
