There were no winners in Saturday night’s Pick 4, leaving a $1,238 carryover into Sunday evening (September 6). Track officials, in conjunction with the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program, have doubled the original Sunday night Pick 4 guarantee to $10,000.
The Pick 4 is a nightly wager covering races seven through 10, with a $1 minimum.
The Saturday night card was highlighted by a $3,510 carryover into the Super Hi-Five in race 10, where fans wagered a whopping $43,180 of new money into the pool, making it the largest Super Hi-Five pool in the track’s history. Even with the 6-5 favourite Total Lee (Don Harmon) emerging victorious in the finale, the 20-cent Hi-Five combination returned $1,024.66.
Live racing continues at The Red Mile on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings with a first post of 7 p.m. through September 19. The two-week Grand Circuit meet gets underway on Thursday, September 30.
