Six eligible two-year-old pacing colts were entered Thursday, September 29 for the Ontario Sires Stakes Gold elimination scheduled to be contested Monday, October 3 at Woodbine Racetrack.

The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elimination will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.

Therefore, the Gold elimination for two-year-old pacing colts scheduled for October 3 at Woodbine Racetrack is cancelled. The $40,000 purse for the Gold elimination will be added to the regular purse for the final, thus making a total Gold final purse for the event of $170,000.

The Gold final will be held on Monday, October 10 as scheduled, and the post positions will be drawn on Monday, October 3 when the final would normally have been drawn.

According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the six horses that entered the event.

The field for the final appears below in alphabetical order.

• Aslan
• Hard To Mach
• I Found My Beach
• Machapelo
• Warrawee Needy
• Winbak Warrior
