ONTrack Media & Entertainment Inc. has announced changes to its executive-management staff
.
The ONTrack board of directors has appointed Lana Taylor as chief executive officer. Lana joined ONTrack’s predecessor, Telephoto, in 2003 as controller, and prior to her appointment as CEO she was chief operating officer. At the same board meeting, Cathy Scowcroft was appointed vice president, Sales & Operations, and Curtis MacDonald was appointed Racing Products & Solutions specialist. Geoff Horton has resigned as president, but remains on the board of directors.
“This is a positive step for the whole company,” Taylor said. “Since ONTrack acquired the assets of TelePhoto Technologies last year, our purpose, during this challenging time in the horse racing industry, has been to re-establish the company as an industry partner and forge strong bonds with our customers. The board has shown faith in the management team to carry on with the work we have begun.”
Scowcroft takes over as vice president, Sales & Operations for the organization overseeing both Entertainment and Media divisions. Scowcroft, who has more than 10 years experience in the horse racing industry, was recruited by Telephoto in 2010 from Grand River Raceway where she was instrumental in Grand River's successful transition from Elmira Raceway.
“I am delighted that our board has recognized Cathy’s efforts. She and our dedicated operations team have worked very hard to build on the decades old Telephoto foundation of integrity, extraordinary service and innovative solutions, providing improved customer-focused products and services,” Taylor said.
MacDonald, formerly the manager of Entertainment Operations, assumes the role of Racing Products & Solutions specialist. MacDonald is well known in the industry with long family ties to horse racing. He is the brother of drivers Anthony, Mark and James MacDonald.
“Curtis has stepped up to meet the demands of the industry and has been instrumental in the development of an innovative multi-input digital race recorder to be launched this fall,” Taylor said.
